I am thrilled to announce that the task of unloading and shelving all the books in our newly acquired library has been successfully completed! Thanks to the generous gift from Western Seminary‘s former San Jose campus, we now have over 3,000 theological books at our disposal, along with convenient book carts and double-sided shelving. It has been a labor of passion and dedication to organize and arrange these valuable resources. Fortunately, the books were organized in Dewey Decimal Classification with unique numerical codes to each subject, which helped with planning their arrangement in numerical order on library shelves. (I was tempted to organize by color.)
I’m delighted to share that below this post, I have also attached a comprehensive sheet containing the cataloged titles that include some of my favorite (Phillip Schaff, yay!) and least favorite (Karl Barth, pooh! pooh! pooh!) With this impressive collection, I’m confident that our library will become a hub of knowledge and inspiration for our entire church and school community. Thank you all for your support and hard work in making this possible. Special thanks to Mr. Timothy Yung for helping unload the boxes of books and shelves from the Uhaul with me and to Mr. and Mrs. Schumacher (and my Athanasius and Lucy Assumpta) for helping me to shelve them.
