Last night Saint Paul’s hosted our 2nd Annual Advent Hymn sing. The idea of a hymn sing for Advent was developed during a conversation with a parishioner who lamented that we couldn’t do *all* the Christmas music during the Christmas services.

The format we came up with includes pieces from the evening prayer, prayers for families, and Advent and Christmas hymns. We use the traditional American prayerbook (1928) and Hymnal (1940).

Here’s a PDF of our service that lasted about an hour.
