Victor Schreffler Assumpta Macias

As I was working on another project, I was scrolling through photographs hidden in the deep recesses of my Macbook’s hard drive and stumbled upon this snapshot of Father Victor holding my daughter Assumpta post-baptismal service.

Assumpta Marie was baptized into the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church on Palm Sunday 2016 at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Davis, California.

Her traditional Anglican baptism began as our fellow parishioners, friends, and family gathered just outside the church. Father Demary blessed the water for the baptism, Father Lickter read the rite and baptized her. Then she was blessed with oil. Later in the service, she was brought to the Lord’s Table for her first communion with the body and blood of our Lord.
